International Summer School on Security and/or Human Rights

The 5th International Summer School held in Mardin brought together young people from 16 countries to discuss the future of security and human rights. The report is now available.
Organized in partnership with the Human Rights Academy, FNF Turkey, and the FNF Geneva Office, the 5th International Security and/or Human Rights Summer School took place in August 2025 in Mardin, a crossroads of civilizations.
Bringing together young participants from 16 different countries, the program provided an international platform for dialogue, focusing on how security policies and human rights principles can mutually reinforce one another in an age of uncertainty.
Sessions led by distinguished experts and interactive case studies enabled the development of practical solutions for global issues such as migration governance, digital security, and the climate crisis.
Blending theoretical training with cultural excursions within Mardin’s historical landscape, the Summer School empowered participants to build cross-border networks and cultivate a shared vision for the future.
